I swear, this was the best cheeseburger I've ever eaten. I remember many an evening when me and my friends would get a few Mr. Deliciouses sent over to Barrows, along with a milkshake. All for about $5!

Sat, August 2, 2003 - 11:57 AMWas it Peter Pindar Pease? That can't be right. That sounds insane for a restaurant name. Did campus have a blue cheese burger? I'm tasting one as I read this.

Wed, August 6, 2003 - 4:51 PMYou're not crazy -- there was a place that would deliver sammiches and I recall that it was called Peter Pindar Pease. And no, that never made a damned bit of sense to me, either, even if that was someone's real name. Here's what our alma mater has to say about PPP:

Wed, October 8, 2003 - 12:47 AMWhen I was at OC ('79-'83) It was called the Campus Restaurant, and it was run by a very entreprenerial guy named Fred. I worked there one year, serving those blue cheese burgers. -
